"Be generous with your prayers, your pearls and the light that shines within"
Faith. Family. Community.
I'm Jackie Lujan, a wife, mother, and woman of unwavering faith who believes that when God places a vision in your heart, He's already equipped you with everything you need to bring it to life.
What began as a calling to serve families has grown into The Lighthouse Early Care & Education. A mission-driven child care center rooted in faith, purpose, and love. Balancing the beautiful chaos of family life and leadership hasn't always been easy, but through every challenge and every victory, God has remained the center of it all.
The Lighthouse was built to combat the child care desert our community faces and to be a safe haven for children and families seeking quality, consistency, and connection. Through collaboration and partnerships, we're growing stronger every day. Shining light into spaces where it's needed most. My journey is one of perseverance, faith, and grace. A reminder that when we trust God's timing and stay faithful to the mission, He turns vision into victory.
I love Jesus, I love spending time with my family, and I never miss a chance to enjoy a good road trip filled with laughter and gratitude. I have a deep passion for singing praise and worship, and together with my husband, we create Christian music in our home studio. A reflection of our shared faith and love for God.
In my downtime, you can find me reading a good book over a cup of coffee, exploring mountain views throughout Colorado Springs, or cuddling with my kiddos watching Ratatouille.
Center Director
Anissa Aldaz
"I didn't choose child care. Child care chose me."
Faith. Food. Purpose.
I'm Anissa Aldaz, Center Director at The Lighthouse Early Care & Education, and my journey into this field began with food. The love language that God placed on my heart. Cooking has always been my passion and my ministry. I'm also the proud owner of A Dash of Love, a catering company inspired by my late grandmother, whose warmth and wisdom continue to guide me.
When Ms. Jackie first invited me to join The Lighthouse, I was hesitant. My only experience with children was with my own daughter. But I took a leap of faith and soon realized that God was orchestrating something bigger. He was preparing me to be more than a cook. He was shaping me into a leader with a heart for the next generation.
Since then, I've earned my Director's Certification, built a strong team of nearly 20 dedicated educators, and helped grow a program that reflects excellence, compassion, and community. Through partnership and collaboration, we're bringing high-quality child care to families who need it most. We're called to serve and that calling keeps me going every day.
In my free time, I love spending time with my daughter, cooking for family and friends, singing my heart out, and creating memories with the people I love most.
